Method
Cultural exchange: Host participants from the "Little Lamps" orphanage in Chennai, giving them an immersive experience in Greek culture, volunteerism, and community project management.
Community project training: Provide specialized training in organizing and running community initiatives, such as environmental cleanups, and foster skills in leadership and collaboration.
Hands-on activities: Engage participants in practical activities such as cooking, cultural presentations, and volunteering at local schools, helping them build skills while deepening cross-cultural understanding.
Sustainability: Encourage participants to integrate what they have learned into future community projects in their home country and establish ongoing support from I.D.E.A. for their initiatives.
Volunteer Tasks:
Help coordinate cultural and volunteer activities, ensuring smooth operations and participant engagement.
Assist in the preparation and execution of community events and cultural presentations.
Manage the communication and scheduling of volunteers for various activities throughout the program.
Expert Tasks:
Provide culinary training and lead workshops on Greek and Indian cuisine for the participants.
Lead discussions on cultural exchange and the integration of participatory income models.
Mentor participants in organizing their own community projects, offering guidance on sustainability and local impact.
